All tasks are focused exclusively on the client’s personal areas to ensure their environment promotes well-being and peace of mind. In essence, Light Housekeeping involves performing specific tasks to maintain and tidy the areas used by the CLIENT ONLY.
- Laundry & linen changes.
- Home organization assistance.
- Emptying trash.
- Light dusting, sweeping, or vacuuming of client-used spaces.
- Washing & putting away dishes used by client.
- Cleaning & disinfecting after toilet accidents.
- Maintaining bathroom cleanliness, including sinks, toilets, & floors.
- Removing expired food from kitchen or pantry.
- Keeping kitchen counters & surfaces clean.
- Helping organize client’s closets, drawers, or shelves for easy access.
- Picking up newspapers, magazines, & mail.
Light Housekeeping Does Not Include:
- Heavy-duty cleaning requiring moving large or heavy furniture.
- Washing or cleaning windows.
- Carpet shampooing or deep floor scrubbing.
- Outdoor chores such as raking or mowing grass.
- Deep cleaning of appliances (e.g., oven, refrigerator interior)
- Organizing or cleaning garages, basements, or attics.
- Pet care beyond simple tidying (no bathing, feeding, or walking).
- Heavy lifting or moving large items.
